A Step By Step Guide To Handling The Most Difficult Moments Of Giving Birth

About Suzzie Vehrs

Hi, I'm Suzzie, doula, childbirth educator and a woman on a mission to make sure you have a great birth.

The Worst Thing About Birth Is Not Pain.

I'm curious...

  • Do you know how you'll handle it if your body starts shaking from head to toe like there's an earthquake inside of you while you're having contractions?
  • Have you planned how you're going to handle the ring of fire?
  • Are you like most women and thinking what are you talking about?!? I'm having a baby, why do I need to be worried about shakes and fire?

If so, it's time for a heart to heart.

In all the births I've been a part of,  I've noticed something important.

And it's that pain is not actually the worst thing about birth.

Can you guess what is?

I'll wait.

And grab a coffee.

And maybe some Gelato 😍 I mean salad 🙃

Okay, you want to know?

It's the unexpected

You see, most moms know that birth is usually intense and most women call it painful.

They know about it - so they prepare for it.

But there are a whole bunch of other things that can throw a mom off during labor.

Things that have nothing to do with contractions.

Things like
shaking (annoying) ,
throwing up (yuck),
and… the ring of fire (what?!) .

These things are all perfectly normal parts of birth.

They don't worry me, and they don't worry most nurses or doctors.

But they do scare moms. And fear can do crazy things to labor.
Fear can make labor longer, more painful, and sometimes even stop.

Which is why I put together this guide so that YOU won't meet fear.

Because YOU will know what to expect.

And YOU will have a strategy to cope.

Are you ready to discover exactly what things you need to be prepared for?

That's why I made you this guide which covers 11 things that nobody told you will happen during birth, and exactly how to overcome each one.

Birth was the most powerful thing I’ve ever experienced. It was the hardest I’ve ever worked for anything in my life, and that sense of accomplishment and determination has lead to me feeling very empowered as a mom and woman. I wouldn’t change it for anything.

The feeling of respect and gratitude I had for myself and my body after birthing my baby was something I was not prepared for.

I think I have yet to have a single person believe me when I say my homebirths were pain free! I understand that the majority of births are not pain free, but for me the work was purposeful and acceptable. It was totally different than twisting my ankle or getting injured any other way.
